FAQ'S
How soon after the wedding can we expect to see our photos?
I know you will be excited to see your photos! My goal is always to get them to you as soon as possible, usually within 2-3 weeks! During extremely busy times, it may be closer to 4 or 5 weeks, but I will always keep in close communication with you with a timeline.

Black and White?

Yes! I love black and white photography. Once the selection of “highlights” is made, I will look at them all in black and white and convert images that feel more powerful that way. But don’t worry, you’ll still get the color version!

How many photos will we get?

Every wedding is different of course, but you can expect to get somewhere in the ballpark of 750-1000 photos.

Can I pick the “highlight” images for retouching?

Of course you can! But please be aware that this extra step will add considerable time to the overall final delivery time of your final photos.
Are all of the pictures edited?
All of the photos will be lightly edited for exposure, color, etc.. A selection of “highlights”, usually 125-150 images, will be fully edited including retouching and possible conversion to black and white.

Is an album included?

I do not include albums with my weddings. In an effort to keep things simple as well as keep costs down for my clients, photos are delivered in electronic form only.
That being said, I am more than happy to work with you, or give you some guidance on having an album made from your favorite photos!
Do you do prints?
Yes, prints are available right through your web gallery! Prints are handled directly through the lab service. Keep in mind that the photos are yours to print however you like, and that you are under no obligation to get prints through me!
Are there any additional or hidden costs?
There are usually no unavoidable additional costs over the package price. There are, however, two small exceptions.
1. If the wedding location is more than 100 miles from my home near Worcester, Massachusetts, (according to google maps), then I charge a flat rate of $100 for fuel and travel time. This policy applies to the engagement sessions as well, but at a distance of 50 miles. Excessive distance (several hundred miles), or a required overnight stay would need to be discussed at booking.
2. If you choose to pay online, then my policy is to split the cost of the bank fees assessed for the transaction. So at my current rate of $2500.00, there is a $45.00 charge for making your payment online.

Is the engagement session really free??

Yes! The engagement session is great for both of us! Along with getting some great photos, we get the opportunity to work with and get to know each other! That way, when the wedding day comes, we’re already comfortable with each other and we can hit the ground running! The only possible cost would be if I need to drive more than 50 miles (one way). If that is the case, the same policy for travel on the wedding day applies to the engagement session.

What is the payment shedule/policy?

At the time of booking, I require a deposit of 50% of the total cost to reserve the wedding date. This deposit is refundable up until 6 months before the wedding date. The remaining 50% is due 30 days before the wedding date.

Does your documentary style mean that you don't do family group photos?

Absolutely not! Your moms would kill me! We've done family photos at almost every wedding I've ever photographed. The key to success with them is to have a point person (maybe a bridesmaid or family member who knows everyone), to take command and work with me to make things go quickly. That way, you can get back to the celebration as soon as possible without missing to opportunity to get these great photos!
